Anais’s tragedy: calls for restrictions on energy drinks after teenager’s death (USA)

US teenager Anais Fournier was hanging out with friends at a shopping centre one Friday, sipping on a large Monster energy drink. She followed it with another the next day. Less than a week later, on December 23, 2011, the 14-year-old was dead, the cause of death listed as heart arrhythmia due to caffeine toxicity that complicated a diagnosed heart disorder.
