We shouldn’t be trying to stop or eradicate drug use – instead we should try and manage drug use to make it safer and less risky. Our efforts and concern should be focused upon preventing problem drug use.
Like me you may not take illegal drugs – but we should acknowlege that illicit drug use has become a normalised leisure activity – one of many options available to people -particularly the under 30s. So we need to live with it and manage it safely and sensibly.
