For every ‘designer drug’ the authorities ban, clandestine labs are churning out a new version. No wonder the law can’t keep up, writes Vaughan Bell

Once other countries committed to the war on drugs see that New Zealand has successfully ended the cat and mouse game on legal highs by introducing the Psychoactive Substances Bill – a metaphorical nuclear strike to ban every legal high and use enforcement agencies to arrest users and suppliers  – contrary to the article above they may conclude there is a way to keep up –  and might follow suit with a similar once and for all nuclear strike.

 

But as we already know banning drugs only makes matters worse!
